Every Turner Bros., LLC location is charged with the responsibility of developing, deploying, and managing environmental procedures, practices, or processes. Both internal and external resources are utilized to ensure compliance with local, state, and federal requirements.
TRAINING
Our personnel are some of the best trained and most skilled managers, operators and crew in the world. These men and women adhere to stringent safety requirements and participate in innovative safety review programs.
Turner provides comprehensive training for all employees to ensure that customers receive consistently high quality service and to ensure best practices. This training is an important driver of the attractive safety record that Turner has established during its eighty-year operating history.
Turner has developed a program of progressive levels of training and qualification required for certification to operate larger and more technical equipment. This program is called the Turner Progressive Training Matrix. In order to achieve each successive level, the operator must complete classroom education and testing with observed, documented on the job training.
Before being qualified to operate a particular crane our crane operators complete several hundred hours of documented operation, written tests and hands on tests for that specific crane. All of our crane operators are NCCCO certified.
Turner requires its drivers and specialized transportation team to comply with DOT regulations in addition to complying with Turner’s in-house standards.
Turner offers defensive driving courses for Professional Truck Drivers. The course has been tailored to Turner’s various applications and standards and is approved by the National Safety Council. In addition, Turner conducts daily tailboard and weekly safety meetings.
